I like your name too - and also the Kurdish version of your name "Bariş" = "Peace" = Aştî

Aştî is a female name, though... :)

Re: Kurdish States In ... Northern - Southern - Western - Easter

You're welcome... Today, still, Lekî Kurds etc. make up the majority of the people on the land on the western side of Hemedan city... :) All Soranî speaking Kurds know the latin script (because of English) and the Kurdish script is easy... The problem between Soranî and Kurmancî is (mainly) the diff...

Shutting AKP and DTP down: democratic thing to do?

Interesting article... Have a read: ‘Closure of AK Party and DTP will serve separatism and violence’ “It should be questioned. Are you insane? For 80 years you have had the fear of division, but there are efforts to close down the only political party that will weaken pro-Kurdish politics and separa...

Re: Kurdish States In ... Northern - Southern - Western - Easter

I just looked up Dîwandere and Kamyaran on Wikipedia... For Kamyaran, it has a population of 46,760. For Dîwandere, it has a population of 22,842. So maybe Kamyaran would be qualified. Dîwandere is also close to 25,000 though. Did you ever notice that Persians don't consider Kirmaşan Kurdish? I alw...

Re: Kurds undermining Assyrian National Interests in Iraq

You're forgetting an important part of the story, kake: This photo is from 19 70 ... Mella Mustefa Barzanî negotiated with the Baath over the status of the Kurdish areas even untill 1975 - when Saddam didn't accept to include Kerkûk as part of Kurdistan... And THEN the war broke out FOR GOOD betwee...
