Hi!

I am an Albanian student of Political Sciences from Prishtina, Kosova. My Bachelor Graduation topic is "Kurdish Question 1999-2012"... It was not obligative, but I am so interested in Kurdish nation and its history, so I have chosen this one about Kurds... I am not having enough english literature for my study, so if you can help me with PDF or other online versions of english language books on these topic "Kurdish Question 1999-2012".
Best regards!
Fitim Salihu.

@dyako: Albanians too, didn't have their unified state since medieval period. In 1912 we declare independence, but 60% of albanians and 70% of their territories left under neighbour conquerors. Today, we are divided in Albania (3.5 mln albanians), Kosova (2.5 mln albanians), Macedonia (0.8 mln albanians), Greece (2 mln albanians), Serbia (300.000 albanians) and Montenegro (150.000 albanians.) As a result of serbian genocide, between 1913 and 1999, today in Turkey lives over 5 mln albanians, who were departed there from serbian fascist regimes. Still, we are dreaming the unification of all our native lands and our nation (if you didn't know: albanians are the oldest people of Europe, as direct descendants of ancient Pelasgians and Illyrians, as proto-indoeuropean tribes) I know a little of the kurd history, and i have seen a lot of similarities with our history.

@Qonyeyi: It was required from me to take a short period of kurdish history, and I decided for last 13 years, from the arrest of Apo until nowadays and recent events in Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran.

Thank you very much for books, from all of you.

For some reasons:

1. Turkey was only real suporter of Albanian cause in the last 60-70 years.
2. Albanians, together with turks governed Ottoman Empire... there were 40-50 sadrazems of albanian descent and a lot of pasha's, beyler, generals, admirals, etc. So for 500 years after Ottoman occupation, Albanians lead (together with turks) this empire.
3. Today, it is a huge propaganda and media from Ankara to Albanians, trying to present Kurds as wild tribes and terrorists.
4. Today, in Albanian lands, still live a lot of turkish minorities, espacially who are there since ottoman years... And in Turkey live almost 5 million albanians...

But I would'nt say that Albanians support Turkey against Kurds... Albanians have their priority: reunification of Greater Albania. Vis-a-vis kurds, I would say that they are ignorant and neutral, they know almost nothing about kurds, and are more conentrated in their historical cause: reunification of albanians.

All in all we can agree that we still don't have any friends, sadly.

No one has friends country wise, we need to be able to benifit other countries in order to be called "friends". It doesn't matter how much people hate us, Turkey sees benifit in us as do we, so we are "friends"

Yea, but you don't think we southern kurds have a different point of view than the rest of the kurdish nation, do you? They are occupying half of our country, so our view on those mongols will be negative ;) Turkey will be used until west Kurdistan gains full access to the Mediterranean.
