You know , my Dad used to tell us all these scary stories and there was always a "Kaftar" in it . I think it is some Wild big scary animal , but I never understood what animal he was refering to . So I was hoping to find out finally what Kaftar is .
I doubt it is Hyena , they are too cute

I heard it's a mythological jinn or something that looks like a Hyena. Yea Hyenas make funny sounds and they're cute.

Well I can confirm that Baris was correct, "Kaftar" or "Keftar" means hyena and they're anything but cute.
