I heard a song a few years ago that has the chorus ''Welat, Welat, Welat...!'' It's going through my head at the moment. That's all I can remember of the lyrics, unfortunately. I do recall some of the beat and melody, so I guess could label the music as a combo of Folk/Nationalist music.

was it Kirmanci or Sorani ?

isnt it the sorani song "xoşêm dewê wilatekem ..." ?

Thanks Kak dyaoko for replying. It was in the Soranî Kurdî dialect. I did a search on what you think it is, and didn't come up with anything. Maybe it could be the spelling. Anyway, the chorus of ''Welat'' repeated 3x reminded me more of a military marching song than actually of a Folk one. I doubt that helps much though...
