Pro-Kurdish Democratic Society Party (DTP) deputy Pervin Buldan became a subject of suspicion when her relative Nihat Buldan -- one of the founders of the now-defunct People's Democracy Party (HADEP) -- and five of his employees were captured with 90 kilograms of heroin.
In an operation the narcotics teams called "The Summit," police allegedly found that DTP Iğdır deputy Pervin Buldan's Audi, which bears a pass to the Parliament building on its windshield, was used by Nihat Buldan, apparently the leader of a drug gang, in conducting his trade. The deputy is the drug gang leader's sister-in-law.
