Yeah, Azar/Atar/Adar means fire.

Fire plays a very important role in my religion , we get married around the fire and worship fire energy (Aagni or Aatisha , note the sanskrit and old iranic similarty. Well Fire does sustain the universe , so it would make sense to recognize and worship that energy IMO.

The issue was not what role Fire has in Zoroastrianism, but the fact that someone would go and tattoo a faravahar on her back while not knowing jack about the religion and answering a question as "Are you a Zoroastrian?" with "Fire is better than Allah".
