Please Help Me on This Issue

So I have begun reading about Iran's past governments and it seems that Turkic rule has always dominated its policies, especially regarding Shiasm which was established during the Safavid dynasty in present day Azerbaijan and its rivalry with the Ottoman Empire. Even the supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, is an Iranian Azari.




I would love to hear your perspective on this issue affects Iran today and I value all of your comments with an open mind and ear.

Don't know much about Shiasm, but I hear the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is Azeri. Also me thinks the president Ahmadinijad (sp) is Azeri too. The irani govt are islamist freaks. Sorry couldn't assist more bro.

No worries bro, I apologize if the Shia part upset you. I just meant that this seems to play a huge part in what this stupid regime does. In fact the only other Shia state is Azerbaijan.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is Azeri as were the Qajar and Safavids who ruled Iran.

I think Iran needs a Kurd president (and I am not kidding either).

My biggest fear is another Iran Iraq war where once again the United States will fund Iraq for the second time thereby raising Azeri Shia nationalism throughout Iran.
