Turkey is planning to establish itself as the chief Islamic power in the world. It only has three competitors: Indonesia, Iran, and Pakistan. Most Arabs don't consider Indonesians true Muslims because they mostly believe in four pillars (excluding Mecca); Pakistanis are poor as dirt and are more concerned about the length of their beards more than anything; Iran is stagnant with unemployment of about 15%, economic growth around 5%, and the international community is turning on them. That leaves Turkey as the most likely candidate to assume a role as the leader of the Islamic community. Its economy has grown an average of 7% over the last three years, and in the first half of 2006 it again averaged 7%. For Kurds to identify themselves firstly as Muslims and attempting to befriend the Muslim community means bowing to the Turks.
puhahaha. That is realy funny. Turkey is trying to enter EU, and he is trying to become leader of Islamic world?
