Turkey's NATO withdrawal - they must be thrown out

Erdoğan adviser calls for Turkey's NATO withdrawal

Turkey's parliament must consider withdrawing the country from the NATO, said Yalçin Topçu, a senior adviser to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, according to Habertürk newspaper.

NATO is behind every military coup and the dependence of defence industries. The time has come to reconsider our membership of NATO. We cannot just ignore this institution, which is showing every kind of enmity towards our membership. Parliament should urgently take up the matter of our continued existence in this organization.

The comments came after Erdoğan said on Saturday that NATO’s trustworthiness has come further into question following a recent incident at a Norwegian military exercise at which his and Turkey’s founding president, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, were added to a list of enemies.

“At the time when the threat to our country from Syria is at its peak, NATO has taken back its missile defence systems and given the impression it will not take any action if there is an attack on Turkey,” Erdoğan told a crowd at a rally in the Black Sea city of Rize. “Its trustworthiness has been called into question for all members."

Topçu became an adviser to Erdoğan last year. He is a former culture and tourism minister and an ex-head of the nationalist Grand Unity Party (BBP).

Turkey should have been thrown out of NATO years ago

NATO is supposed to protect others.

During the 1980s Anfal campaign in Iraq, countless THOUSANDS of Kurds ran to the Turkish borders trying to escape the slaughter

Turkish soldiers SHOT and KILLED countless numbers of Kurds on that border

Due to Turkey, THOUSANDS of Kurds died in those mountains

They died from HUNGER and THIRST

Every morning large numbers of people were found FROZEN SOLID

Kurds had already suffered so many horrors at the hands of Turkey

The deaths of so many innocent people were the worst in living memory

But Turkey was not thrown out of NATO as it should have been

More recently the destruction of KOBANE

The Turkish government was well aware that ISIS was heading towards Kobane

Turkey had plenty of time in which to positions it's tanks along the Turkish/Syrian border

The coalition, including Turkey had plenty of time in which to prevent ISIS reaching Kobane, yet they ALLOWED ISIS to reach Kobane

Turkey was the worst because they were on the border so close that they could see ISIS driving along the road and still they did nothing

But it is even worse than that

The poor people of Kobane kept expecting NATO member Turkey to take some action to stop ISIS

When they realised the Turkish military were not going to do anything to stop ISIS, they grabbed their most precious possessions, carried what they could, filled their cars with as much as they could

At the Turkish border the Kurds were refused permission to take all their belongings across the border, they had to leave their cars packed with all they held dear, including their most valuable possessions

I would like to point out that Kobane was not a peasant village, it was a thriving city

The Turkish troops watched and did nothing as a few metres away, ISIS jihadists took the cars and all the Kurds possessions

As ISIS closed in on the city, the men from the city tried to return to protect their homes but the Turks refused to allow them, so they stood crying watching their city being destroyed

Turkey should had been thrown out of NATO then

Every death in Kobane I blame entirely on Turkey

The destruction of the city I blame entirely on Turkey

Thought people might like some background info as to why Turkey does NOT belong in NATO
