Iran actually is short of oil

For a world rattled by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's bellicosity, Iran's petroleum problems sound like good news. The UN Security Council's newfound willingness to confront Iran over weapons development also seems a welcome sign.
Yet the economic damage Iran inflicts on itself is far worse than anything the meaningless UN sanctions could accomplish. Sanctions might actually worsen the position of Iran's adversaries if Tehran were to succeed in portraying them as the cause of its economic woes.
The mullahs are doing a good job of destroying Iran's economy. They should be left alone to complete their work. Attacking Iran would allow the regime to escape responsibility for the economic disaster it created. Worse, an attack could unite Iran behind the clerical terror-sponsors whose grasp on power may be slipping. For these reasons, the best policy towards Iran may be to do nothing at all.

He says no need for air strikes nor sanctions. The Iranian economy will be blown up by the mullahs. What do you think what will happen with Iran then?

Probably mullahs will fire Ahmaddinejad and replace him by a so-called moderated or at least less hard-lined politician, who restart negociations with foreign countries;

Not only is Iran short on oil, they are short on gas. They were forced to cut exports to Turkey for five days, and Iran was forced to cut power to many villages and towns during the coldest time of the year because of lack of power. So Iran is facing 4 big issues now:
Declining oil production
Declining global oil prices
Declining natural gas exports
Failing infrastructure
The only question now is, how long the Iranians will wait and how long they will cling to their mullahs before abandoning the sinking ship.

I dont think iran is in shortcome of oil or gas, iran just doesnt have enough money to extract them .
and u are right, iran gas in Kurdish Areas was cut for some days in the coldest days of the winter , but they resumed after openining a new source of gas .

I don't think anyone is saying they are short on reserves. Rather, the theocracy hasn't invested in the infrastructure necessary for long-term production.
