BAGHDAD, April 18 (AKnews) - There is a secret agreement between the Kurdish Blocs Coalition (KBC), Iraqiya List and the Ahrar bloc to nominate the first deputy chairman of the Council of Representatives Qusay al-Suhail to replace Nouri al-Maliki as prime minister, according to a political source.

malikiThe source, who requested anonymity, told AKnews that a delegation from Iraqiya and Ahrar bloc belonging to the Sadrist movement will head to the Kurdistan Region during the next few days to decide about this issue.

This move would require the withdrawal of confidence from PM Maliki by over 50 percent of votes in the Council of Representatives.

The criticism of Maliki by political blocs increased recently, especially by Iraqiya, the Sadrists and the KBC who accused the PM of trying to control the state entirely.

Cleric Moqtada al-Sadr accused Maliki on Saturday of being behind the arrest of Iraq's Independent High Electoral Commission chairman Faraj al-Haidari in a bid to "postpone or cancel the elections" that will be held early next year.

Sadr's position came in line with the criticism made by the Kurdistan Region's President Massoud Barzani where he warned that the country is heading towards dictatorship.

Iraqiya List led by Ayad Allawi accused more than once Maliki's coalition of avoiding the implementation of the Erbil agreements that were signed during the formation of the current government.

Iraqiya has hinted more than once about holding early elections to end the political crisis in the country.

Sound like good news but the problem is that the new PM will also try to be a king like Maliki. This Maliki doesnt belevie in federalism he said himself "if one region and others have powers then whats the point in having a PM?" we are dealing with this mentality not to mention his secterian policy and supporting Iran and Syria. The same Syria that sent suicide bombers to Iraq.

I really don't understand, I mean we know now the Erbil agreement will never happen. If we wait there will be civil war, if we don't there still will be civil war. Both ways there will be civil wars, the KRG should have a referdum and let the Kurdish people decide.

Replacing Maliki will not change anything because I do not believe Qusay will act any differently .
