NEWSDESK, -- The Iranian Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has been expanding its military deployment in the Kurdish regions, out of fear that in case of Western military invasion, the event of 1991 of South Kurdistan might reoccur in East of Kurdistan.

According to the local sources the military mobilization of IRGC in East Kurdistan particularly in Kirmashan, Pawe, Xane, Meriwan, Qesri Shirin and Shino has been intensified through the last month.

The security status of East Kurdistan has been entrusted to Iranian Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) as well as the Intelligence Service who have set up checkpoints where none had existed before.

These forces have renovated the old military sites and erected many more on the borders with South Kurdistan. Heavy weapons and large quantity of ammunitions have also been sent to Shino city, where launching pads for long range missiles are placed.

The motive to such a sober rattling, according to political analysts, can be explained on two grounds. First, the possible attack from Israel and the USA might be launched from the Kurdish regions which in turn is likely to trigger what happened in South Kurdistan in 1991. Second, the ongoing congress of the neutral countries in Tehran.
