Founded in 1988, Koma Amed ('Koma' means 'Group' and 'Amed' means 'Diyarbakir') is the first Kurdish music group in Turkey. Since then, the group has released three albums. 'Dergus' (Cradle) is their third and last album before they disbanded and to many, it is one of the most successful and energetic Kurdish albums in history in terms of quality of music. The album includes traditional songs that are performed in a modern way. A pleasant introdution to Kurdish music for those who wish to listen to something different.
