oh ok i did a mistake i really thought they were couple i don't know why;-) but it's nice information that Karwan is single so i can try my luck with him (of course i'm kidding^^)
yea we have also in France dialects as breton,corse.. but since times it"s not more very common to use it, only people in some village know about it, cause official language's french and almost in every school children don't learn dialects, i think it's a little bit a pity!!but about berlgium and swiss languages it's exactly same language as ours, the only differences are we have different accent!!

no unfortunately i can't speak any kurdish at all but sometimes for me it's not so important to understand languages and especially when i'm listening music for example if i like a song very much
i thought maybe i can begin to learn kurdish language by this way, i mean by listening songs;
but when i saw your translation i saw they use quite elaborate vocabulary, even in english i had to translate into french so it will take time to me to can speak kurdish (cause im not very good to learning in language) but i really want to do coz now i'm in holidays i've got more times than usually!!
i think i 'll choose badini cause i like the sound of this dialect language!!
i try to pronounce sounds as Chopy but she sung better than me;-) so i've also to take singing lessons :d

But I have to explain something to you - because I think maybe you misunderstood me. You said you want to "choose Badînî". But maybe I wasn't clear: Badînî is Kurmancî....

So you should learn Kurmancî, not Badînî. Badînî is one of the Kurmancî sub-dialect. But the standard is Kurmancî... Do you see what I mean?

Badînî (Duhok province), Şikakî (Colemêrg province), Berazî (Riha province), Amedî (Diyarbekir province) etc. are all Kurmancî... They are just different accents of Kurmancî... Maybe I should have called it "accent" and not "sub-dialect" from the start...

Anyway - if you wanna learn Badînî then you should learn Kurmancî Proper (the standard)... And yes, learning a language through song and music is the best... Also you should try to watch some Kurdish TV sometimes and watch music programs and other things - you can watch them on the internet: http://www.kurdsat.com and http://www.kurdistantv.com - try them

Çopî has other songs in Kurmancî as well - in the Badînî and Şikakî accents/sub-dialects... Have you heard them? But she is Soranî herself...

Yeah Kurmancî is much easier to learn because it is in Latin script... But also it is spoken by the majority of Kurds... More than half of all Kurds speak Kurmancî...

And when you speak Kurmancî it is easy to learn Soranî afterwards...

Yes I know all of Çopî's songs... I have both her albums and also her TV recordings...

No - Guwê Nagirim is in Soranî and Bê Soz is in Kurmancî... But maybe you know her song Hêdî Hêdî - that one is in Kurmancî... One of my favorites!
