... by the way kak Dîrî... I may be wrong but I believe this woman is Persian (do you know anything about her?). She sings a few different songs in Kurdish. I think she does a great job.

No, she is Persian. She has appeared on Iranian TV stations several times. When asked what ethnicity she was, she said Fars but that she loves Kurdish music.

And like Dyaoko said, you can tell by her accent. Although, she almost sounds like a Kirmashanî Kurd trying to sing in Sineyî Soranî

Min bibore kake gyan - ez gellek nehatime vê bexsha forumê... Min bersîva te nedîtibû...

I think she is Persian, and yes - she sings in Kurdish - but as you pointed out - a Kurd can hear that she has an accent... I noticed it too... Not because I am fluent in how a Kermanshanî or Sineyî speaks - but because a Persian accent is always easy to tell...

I like this song... And she sings it beautifully... :) It's more beautiful since she sings it with her whole - some people don't sing like they "mean" what they sing... This lady - be she Sheila, Sha Ky La or Shikêla... She has a lovely way of expressing herself - and she does it in a very admirable way as a Persian singing in Kurdish... :)

Mashallah bo ew kichê!
