Silaw!!! :)

I REALY ADORE Chopî!!! She is so talented and her voice is so beautiful...

I love her songs...

But - as a Kurmancî speaker, you don't ALWAYS understand everything when you listen to songs in Soranî - because they are poetical etc. and not so "logical"...

So - can you PLEASE help me with some lyrics on these songs (?):

1) Chît Naw Binêm

2) Ligel Xem

3) Xoshewîstekem

4) Xemî Dûrî

I searched on the net... No luck...

If you know where I can find these lyrics, please let me know... If not - would it be too much to ask if somebody could write down the lyrics?

Thank you...

Zor supas...

xoshewîstekem egerêtewe
her le êstawe be xêr bêtewe

xoshewîstekem egerêtewe
her le êstawe be xêr bêtewe

my darling is coming back
from now I say "welcome"

no roje wa yarekem royshtuwe
xew lew du çawy min nekewtuwe

it is 9 days that my love has gone
my two eyes havent sleept

xwaya tu bîkey ew hellnesabê
le few rigakey têk neda bê

nazanim katê echime pêshwazy
be kam diyary ciwan bikêshim nazy ?

I dont know when I go to say wellcome to him
with which nice gift should I flirt him (Naz Keshan ...)

gul be pêshkeshy shermezar ebê
roy ew derkewê guli yar ebê

flower will be shamed to be gifted [to him]
if it knows it will be my love's flower.

ger billem fermu , ewe chawanim
bê chaw bim, be chy le rooy birwanim ?

If I say , here you are my eyes (as gift)
I would be without eye, then how couldn I see his face?

ew chawerêm yar bigerêtewe
be xêr bêtewe , yar be xêr betewe

I am waiting for my love to come back
welcome , welcome my love

xoshewîstekem egerêtewe
her le êstawe be xêr bêtewe

my love is coming back
from now I say "welcome"

What the hell... A guy pops up and asks for "Kîne Em" lyrics in my thread and then disappears into the blue...

ANYWAY...

SHEVÎN!!! Qurbanit abim - please - you are a Chopî fan! :D LIKE ME! Can you please give me the lyrics of her songs? I made a list of the songs I want the most...

But now I also wanna know the lyrics to the song she made for/in honour of Kerkûk! :D

So that will be:

Chît Naw Binêm
Legel Xem
Xoshewîstekem (ALREADY GOT THAT ONE - SUPAS BO DYAOKO! :D )
Xemî Dûrî
And the Kerkûk song - I don't know what it's called... Perhaps just KERKÛK? :P

Zor supas gyanekem... Zor memnûn abim eger bom betwanî benûsî lyric'î em goraniyan...

 (I speak funny Soranî! :P )

ok...i finished translating çît naw binêm..

xôşawîstim çît naw binêm
katê askit wak agiru
hamû saat asûtênê
dilim benje

my darling how should i call you?
when your love is like fire
and every hour it burns
and my heart it ties

rêbwarêkî mandû naras
wêlû Tanya
bô çô aroî ba şônta dêm

i'm a tired traveler
aimless and alone
wherever you'll go i'll follow

garwûn bî lêm agrim jêî pêt
wak parwana ba şônta agarêm

if I loose you I’ll catch your track
I’ll be spinning while I’m searching for you

ba şawanî wak xarmanan dawrî mangî gonat agrim
wakû karwan çî akaî wêl baraûlaîat dêm
baraûlaîat dêm

Your cheeks come to my mind like the night of the full moon xarmanan (xarmanan means something like pile, very much of something)
like a caravan, whatever you’re doing lonesome i’ll be next to you
I’ll be next to you

hawargaîmin çawakanta
katê hatim napirsa lêm çîmû çêm
balê gûlim batanîa tô çawakanît bô min bota
hawargaû jê

my shelter are your eyes
when I come don’t ask me who I am
yes my dear, only your eyes became
my shelter

hawargaîmin çawakanta
katê hatim napirsa lêm çîmû çêm
balê gûlim batanîa tô çawakanît bô min bota
hawargaû jê

my shelter are your eyes
when I come don’t ask me who I am
yes my dear, only your eyes became
my shelter

garwûn bî lêm hamû şôn dêm
wak parwana ba şônta agarêm

if I loose you I’ll go everywhere
I’ll be spinning while I’m searching for you

katê hatim rômanî xoşawîstî min bôt basakam
Na ruî xotim lê wargêra na dargaî
dilit daxira

When i'll come i'll tell you my story of love
But don’t turn away or close the door of your heart

hata wûtim goeragira lêm
ziman şika
mangû xorû astera şadid naka

as long as i speak listen to me
my tongue breaks
moon, sun and stars doesn't excuse

hata key la dût bigarêm? bassa çî tir?
çawim bô tô bû ba xwenû
la dû aşkaût dastûpêm

until when shall I search you? What else?
my eyes became like blood for you
(senseless: in two caves I’m am crawling)

garwûn bî lêm hamû şôn dêm
wak parwana ba şônta agarêm

if I loose you I’ll go everywhere
I’ll be spinning while I’m searching for you

hata kêy hata çô ba şônta bêm?
hata kêy hata çô ba şônta bêm?
hata kêy hata çô ba şônta bêm?

until when and where should i follow you?
until when and where should i follow you?
until when and where should i follow you?

thx to my mom ^__^

Zooooooooooooooor spas golekem! :D Destit xosh û sax bêt... Zor memnûn! :D

I found more examples of your wrong usage of "a" and "e"...

The word you wrote down as:

"batanîa" - should be "Bitenya" or "Betenya"... :) See what I mean? Forget the Foruc Aw etc. lol - It was a messy explenation I gave you last time...

And I only wanna help you out with the standard Latînî... :)

Okey - let's take that word: "Hata" - you don't actually say "Haataa" - you say "Heta" ("Hataa")...

Right?
