Favorite songs:
1) Be Soz- Chopy & Karwan
2) Ke Dile Te Helaye- Bilind Ibrahim
3) Ha Gulle- Zakaria
4) Gule Gule- Diyar
5) Derya- Govend

Those are the ones that I'm listening to the most right now.. but I also like Hesen Sherif, and pretty much ALL of Shivan Perwer! No one can sing like him..and, I even had my picture taken with him when I was younger!

2. Agire Jiyan - Helin
2. Diyar - Eman Eman (it was probably one of the first kurdish songs I ever heard)
3. Hozan Serhat - Hewler

I can't really pick more there are so many great songs, gotta mention eg. Sivan Perwer (Malan Bar Kir, Cane Cane, Sare and Helepce of course), Hemdem (Evina Min, Nesrin) and Ciwan Haco (Gotin Sor Dibin) as well. Ibrahim Rojhilat (Esmer Eman, Agit). Some songs by artists that I usually dont' really listen to are Koma Azad - Edibese, Koma Ciya - Elife and Aynur - Ahmedo as sorgul mentioned.
Ok I'm just gonna shut up now Xeriba Beyani is my favourite though if I had to pick just one so beautiful

Yes exactly! And especially when I listen to kurdish music I always have to listen to one more song and then another one..it goes straight to the heart. Some songs like Helin make me cry but I don't even understand what he sings

@Azade - Aynur's voice is best in accapella... When she sings like in that video - it's full of emotions and nerves... She doesn't need instruments to convey the emotions...

Makes you wanna cry - when she sings about sad things... Like Ehmedo...

I know exactly what you mean Azade!!
Especially because Kuridsh songs come with so much feeling and history..Every time I listen to a song, I think of someone back in Kurdistan.
Also, I love it a lot more than American music because American music is more about lust, and Kurdish music is more about love. It's more real and emotional.
