ERBIL, July 13 (AKnews)- So far seven countries have officially agreed to participate in Arab Billiard Championships in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, an official said.
Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Kuwait, Egypt, Qatar and UAE have officially voiced willingness to participate in the event, said Shuwan Hassan, deputy for head of Kurdistan Billiard Union. He expected more countries to register for the event.
Hassan added the championships for the 9-ball and 18-ball categories will be held for one week in mid February. The official said the preparations for the event are underway. He added in the coming few days the billiard union will meet in Erbil and will visit with officials at Erbil governorate, Kurdistan Olympics Committee and the rest of the related bodies for making the event a success.
