ERBIL, July 20 (AKnews)- Kurdish star of the Iraqi football team, Hawar Mulla Mohammed, will officially leave Zob Ahan Esfahan FC to join Erbil FC next week.
"All my issues with Zob Ahan are over, in exchange for an amount of money as compensation… and they [Zob Ahan FC] will give me my resignation," said Mohammed.
The Iranian club had refused to give Mohammed's resignation and this had prevented the Kurdish player from playing for a while.
Mohammed said until Monday all the official procedures for his resignation will be completed and he will join Erbil FC.
He added he has already obtained the approval of the managing board of Erbil FC.
"I love to play for them [Erbil FC]… Erbil is a competent and popular club," Mohammed said, adding so far he has decided to play for the club only in the Asian Cup.
The footballer did not deny that the suspension he faced with Zob Ahan has affected his capacities.
He said the Iraqi coach, Zico, had complained about his "unsatisfactory" performance.
"This was due to my long separation from exercise with the clubs…."
Yet, Mohammed was optimistic and promised his fans that "I will return to the ground with the best level."
He laid his trust at the Iraqi coach for reaching the 2014 World Cup.
"I am certain about the endless capacities of our coach, Zico… This man is very gentle, acts wisely and we are very comfortable with him.
"We have a very high morale for qualifying for 2014 Brazil Cup."
