CHP deputy calls kurds inferior and non-existent,Turks happy

A deputy from the Republican People's Party (CHP) has resigned from his position in protest against remarks of a fellow party official who said people of Kurdish origin cannot be equal to Turkish people.
In a written statement released on Thursday, CHP Adıyaman deputy Salih Fırat, Kurdish, said he had resigned from the party on account of a speech made by CHP İzmir deputy Birgül Ayman Güler at a meeting in Parliament on Wednesday.

“The Kurdish nation cannot be equal to the Turkish nation,” Güler said, addressing the lawmakers who convened to discuss a law to allow suspects to use their mother tongue in court when delivering defense statements.

“There is no Kurdish conflict in Turkey,” Güler further stated. Many deputies from the CHP and the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) were seen applauding Güler's speech.

Güler became the target of criticism over her racist remarks following the parliamentary meeting, with many lawmakers from the CHP and the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) condemning her comments.

AK Party deputy Galip Ensarioğlu blasted Güler's remarks as “grave,” saying he wouldn't expect such “fascist” thoughts from a party which describes itself as a social democratic party on the left. Ensarioğlu also said he was appalled to see those from the CHP and MHP applauding Güler's speech.

Mustafa Destici, the leader of the nationalist Grand Unity Party (BBP), also said he cannot accept derogatory remarks from Güler even though his party has major differences with the government on how to solve terror problem.

Altan Tan, a deputy from the pro-Kurdish Peace and Democracy Party (BDP), said the CHP deputy's comment was a betrayal of not only the Kurdish people but also of all people living in Turkey.

MHP deputy Mehmet Şandır, on the other hand, said Güler's comments are not racist.

“It is those who visit İmralı [where the Kurdistan Workers' Party's (PKK) leader is jailed] and those who recognize the Kurdish ethnicity that should be accused of racism,” Şandır said.

Fırat, 52, is medical doctor by profession. He is member of the parliamentary commission investigating the Dec. 28, 2011 airstrike on Uludere, a district of Şırnak, that left 34 Kurdish civilians dead. Fırat has been an outspoken critic of the government on Kurdish issue, defending Kurdish rights for education and defense in mother's tongue.

Fırat also supported hunger strikes across prisons in Turkey launched by the terrorist PKK last year and attributed the strikes to the non-resolution of the Kurdish problem in Turkey.

With his reassignment, CHP's number of seats at Parliament dropped to 134, while seats of independents increased to seven.

I fully agree. I'm happy that this turk whore said that because she represented 99,9 % of the Turks with this sentence. And I think,even the last Kurd who believed that Turks and Kurds are brothers will wake up now. Turks were, are and will always be our biggest enemy. The will to fight for a kurdish state becomes indeed stronger and the polls show that the hate towards Turks become stronger and stronger under younger Kurds. This is a good sign.And this CHP turk whore just push it more.

For a second i thought you could make peace with turks, i feel like a fool now. Turks seems to have hatred in their blood and we kurds are so naive and belevie them. The whole situation is tragic, like a wolf (Turkey) proposing peace to the sheep (kurds). Have we not learned from the past?

Not only are journalists afraid to say anything thing against the Turkish government, but erDOGan controls EVERYTHING anyway. The media have been stirring up race hate for YEARS. The Turkish education system has spent years brainwashing Turks into believing that Kurds are not really a separate ethnic group more a bunch of savages trying to steal Turkish land.

The average Turk HATES Kurds with a passion.

Turkey is NOT a democracy. The government locked up several of the generals who stood up to the government because it feared a military coup. It is doing away with it's secular constitution before the election so that the people will NOT have the democratic right to choose for themselves.

The blame is also on the international community, nato and USA for not opposing hundreds of years of turkish fascism. Its not like they were unaware of the torture, killings and displacing of kurds, they have chosen silence in order to have good relation with Turkey. There can be NO peace for Kurds if they remain in Turkey. I truly believe that most Turks actually HATE Kurds. All the terrible things that the Turkish government has done to Kurds over the years proves that Turks are a barbaric and violent race of people who have no respect for others. That is why I suspect that some people on here are NOT Kurds but Turks pretending to be Kurdish. Turks cannot change the way that they behave.

Turkish behaviour is rough and vulgar as is their music. Turks are often unfaithful and violent towards their wives.

I would NEVER trust a Turk but I would go to a Kurdish celebration or party with THOUSANDS of Kurds,and leave my bag on the table knowing it would still be there when I returned 2 hours later.

Young Kurds look on the internet and see what is happening in the world. They are becoming much more politically aware. They even know that some Kurdish politicians are selling them out by trying to negotiate a peace plan that will leave Kurds under Turkish rule. Due to the internet the world has become a very small place. Unfortunately, the power is still in the hands of OLD men many of whom have NOT moved with the times and are not as aware of world politics as they would like to think they were.

It doesn't only seem, it's a fact. They don't even want to allow us to speak our language. They see us as inferior. Polls Show that the clear majority of subhuman Turks clearly agree with this Kemalist whore. These are Facts. What Kurds must understand is that as long as we live all together in Turkey with this Subhumans, we won't get peace. We will always be second class and third class people and BDP must finally recognize that. Turks are our biggest enemy. The kill and surpress us FOR 90 years now and there are still some morons who say that Kurds and Turks are brothers. How stupid can someone be? They kill your Family, they kill your people , they want to extinguish the Kurdish people and you still want to live together with them? Well actually it is funny if it wouldn't be so sad.
