According to Sezer, Turkey has suffered a great deal under Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, adding, "May Allah protect Turkey from Erdogan rising to the presidency." Sezer believes that there's no "Kurdish problem" in the southeast but there is a regional underdevelopment problem.
"The prime minister's political discourse caused the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) to be seen as the spokesman of all our Kurdish citizens. Especially the eastern and southeastern regions have problems of underdevelopment, lack of education and unemployment. If the policies to solve these are applied, we've no doubt that the forces that feed terrorism will be destroyed. If you recognize the Kurdish problem forgetting all else, this means that you're aiding those who ask why we're not separate."
But if you ask me whether it would be appropriate to place him in the presidential seat of the secular Turkey of Kemal Ataturk, I would have a different reply. I would say that this should not happen as it is not what this country deserves.
