Did you not have any of the strong winds where you were

Windy weather but not too much as in Northern France.

The storm came at the wrong time for England - some of our street lights are not working now and we had just turned the clocks back from British Summer Time so it is an hour darker in the evenings

I live opposite a farm so there is not much in the way of lighting around here - the local council probably think that we are all the same as sheep and see in the dark
