King Stanislas' soup or the best soup in the world

Let's boil 1 liter of water. In another pan, fried onions (300 g) in butter, until they become russel as a squirrel. Pour on it a tablespoon of flour (not much) and melt it. Then pour slowly the water and melt and melt again. Let's simmer 20 mn. Then pour the soup in earthen bowls. Put abode some hard thick slices of bread with slices of cheese on it (here it was Tomme de Savoie). Put it in your oven until the cheese is golden and melted on the bread.

Eat when it is very hot (delicious to burn your tongue with it).


Thes soup is very good in winter when you are cold.

Look lovely but it does NOT look very slimming to me :))
