Nope... In Kurmancî it is "Perperok" and "Pirpirok"... Because when it flaps it's wings it says "pir pir" or " per per" :wink:


And Balawing... Is normally used as well...

Welatê Kardakan diket navbera Bedlîs û Wanê.
Asûriyan jî ji kurdan re gotiye kardox û ji welatê wan re jî gotiye Kurtiye.
Piþtre navê kurdan di belgeyên dîrokî de wek kurtî, kirtî, kardox, kardoç, gutî, med, kardo û karduk hatiye nivîsîn.
Li gor dîroknasan kurd arî ne û neviyên medan in.

Gotina arî ji sanskrîtî (**) tê, maneya wê jî binijad, esilzade, yên xweþik, yên baþ û rind e. Navê zimanê ariyan aryavaþa bû. Navê welatê wan Aryavarta (Welatê Arya/Warê Arya) bû. Welatê wan baþûr û rojhilatê Derya Qezwînê (Xezar) bû.
Ham chinaar, ham chighaal, ham zinaar
chee buu Rustamee kurree Zaal

Amr kir seesit u shesht saal
Amr kir seesit u shesht saa

Heezh bichuuka, t'ifaal,
Daayee himbees kir, bira maal

lol i dont think i heard it when i was in Urmiye, i was quite little then 8) I saw it on Roj tv or Mezopotamya- on some children's programme :oops: :oops:

The main three variations:

Pepule, Pelatink and Perperok... And I bet there are many more...
