Yes, it is... :) I found it on Google - and it's supposed to be real, yes... And there were many more interesting and beautiful arcitectural works - but I settled for this one, since it's very unique for a Mosque! :)

@Sicpit

What do you mean there won't be anything "dead" in it?

He'll probably just throw the pizza after he's accepted it... He'll be too sceptical... So would I have been...

You should do something else to show your well intentions... The best thing would be to discuss the matter (of the pendant)...

What I mean is that their will be no meat what so ever. Last time I checked Wheat Glutten, soy and non animal seasoning is halal, correct? Oh well this was just an idea though.

Well actually, you used the term "Halal" in such a way that I misunderstood what you meant...

That term means "permitted" or "allowed" action/object... Yes...

But when you speak about food, it is most commonly used about meat from an animal which has been sacrificed (as opposed to just "killed" or "butchered") - which means that the lamb, ox, vale or whatever animal - has been sacrificed "in the name of God the most Merciful" (Bism-illahu-rahmanu-raheem) with it's tongue bitten by itself (the tongue sticking out) - and facing the Ka'ba (in Mecca)...

So that is what "Halal" realy implies...

And that's why I was confused about the TYPE of meat (not realizing you meant "no meat at all")...

Well if you're making a vegetarian pizza, then I don't see why he would not eat it... :)

Good luck! May your path be wide and open, brother... 8)

So this means that no meat in Norway or the western world is haram, of course Kosher would probably be suitable. Also anything that has gelatin is probably halal, as their is a good chance that the gelatin is made with Pork products. So say no to marshmellows, skittles and of course Jello :p

On a real note, I think I should ask if he even likes the taste of "peporoni" as the fake meat will taste or resemble this flavor. Maybe he never had it, because most consist of pork.

No, see you are mixing up the things here...

Meat which is not sacrificed in the name of God in the proper way as I prescribed in my previous post is "Haram"... But of course, that would be the extreme interpretation...

Which is not liberal muslims like me and my family go by... The truth is, we are in Europe and the vast majority here are non-Muslim and that means that we'll have to settle for less and be happy with that... Because getting Halal meat (meat sacrificed in the name of God the most Merciful and with the animal's tongue bitten by it's teeth facing Ka'ba) is hard to get a hand on...

Most animals in Europe are slaughtered, shot or drowned... And a few butcher them (small scale local butchers)...

So you see:

Haram = thing which is not permitted/Meat which is not sacrificed through prescribed ritual...
Halal = thing which is permitted/Meat which is sacrificed through prescribed ritual...

In addition to this, any food containing pork or parts of prok are also Haram... Like Gelatine etc...

You should check if that wannabe peperoni doesn't contain any taste supliments from REAL peperoni... As in: the pork...

Now let me just add that as a Muslim in Europe or the West, we have to live with what we have - and must of course compromise on the matter of halal vs. haram meat... There are a few butheries which sacrifice the animals according to Islamic prescription... But those are not widespread as of yet... If you go to a large market, you'll find that there are chicken with "HALAL" written on them etc... Perhaps you should drop the peperoni and go buy a Halal chicken or whatever and put that on the pizza instead... And make sure he "accidently" sees/hears you buying such a thing, so that he won't be suspicious...

Hahaha

Supposedly all chickens and some other animals are butchered in a halal way in Denmark but I'm not sure if it's true. There's a political party that wants halal butchering banned but I don't understand what harm a halal butchered animal possibly can do to the ordinary civillian

haha sicpit I'm sorry to say but maybe Diri is right  I can't trust my own mother not to sneak any pork into my food if she had the chance
just because i don't care doesn't mean i don't understand

Sikhs who choose to eat meat(many if not most are vegetarian) are not allowed to eat Halal meat.

Yea, I see what you mean. However if a company that advertises that it has no meat in it, and it does could face law suites. Especially if it says it's vegan
