Actually I have made some money but a peanut during these last few days troubles by taking short positions. Almost all expert stock market traders have made millions because of these troubled financial markets by taking short positions, which is the cause of all these problems. Now America an Europe made it illegal temporary to trade shorts in finacial sectors. Trading shorts means you sell the shares, which you don't have, at a higher price because you expect the price will go down. So when the price goes down, you buy the shares back at a lower price. The difference between both prices is your profit. Off course if prices go up you will lose because you must buy the shares back. But expert traders hardly make mistakes. These troubles mainly started because stck market traders worldwide, mainly in America, attacked financail sectors by trading shorts, which, psychologically, meant too much supply for sale and too much supply for sale brings prices down. Banks and other finacial institutions have to pay short traders. These made them bankrupted to cause all these troubles now.
