For the cities being represented, each person would give a description of the city along with a mini exhibition of what that city's culture represents. As for the Kurdistan section, there were women in traditional clothing who were Kurd and I learned some things about Kerman I did not even know about.
As for flags, I did not see any flags only because the organizers do not want this to beocme a political event. There was a debate on whether or not to use the Shiro Khurshid flag because of its ties to the Saffavids and Shah Pahlavi and the current flag is just as political.
For me personally, when it comes to events like this it represents a true, diverse, culturally rich Iran in which every province and its people are beautiful; the current Iran is just a bunch of stupid mullahs who leave a whole population in poverty.
In Mehregan, I am paying my respects to Persepolis and Cyrus the Great whose tomb still stands despite the numerous invasions; Mehregan and Newrouz is who I am and no akhound can take these days away from me as I dance the night away to traditional and folk music!
