The suppression of ethnic cultures and minority religious groups in attempting to forge a modern nation were not unique to Turkey but occurred in very similar ways in its European neighbours - Bruinessen.

Don't know.. rolled into it.. maybe it's that "romantic" feeling towards other cultures.. or the empathy for the Kurdish struggle for independence..

Hard to explain.

 no

Remember one of the best scientists about Kurdish history/antrophology .. is Dutch! Martin van bruinessen.

And yes I know some Kurdish not much. I asked Martin if he still gave lessons in Kurmanji.. too bad.. not anymore.

Kurdish education is a bit bad.. I can learn in Salahhadin university or Duhok off course..

Or I can learn it by getting a Kurdish girlfriend of attaining a Kurdish wordbook.
