when do people stop growing ?

hello there folks!
as the title says itself,when do people stop growing? I am 18 and in summer I checked my height I was 177 cm but now I checked my height again this winter,and guess what??? I am already 179 cm Seriously I got scared,I don't want to grow anymore seriously. I thought after puberty people stop growing!
As a girl I seriously don't want to grow anymore! And I don't think that there are plenty of Kurdish girls who have the same height as me.

I think you will stop growing from 17-20. Not sure, it depends. A friend of my, who was around the same height as me (183 cm) was told by he's doctor that he was slow-growing or something, and that he would end up around ca 198 cm. Now after 2 years or something, he is 196cm, hahahah Not saying that you also are slow-growing .___.

Normally, girls start and stop growing earlier than boys, I believe the last bits of growth might come around 16 years.
On average, boys stop growing around 18, but some might already be fully grown by 16 or earlier (in height, they'll get a stockier build thereafter), however, some boys might even grow 'till their 21st. Middle Easterners and Africans reach their full height earlier than white people.

Kani, your extra growth might be genuine, but are you sure both the old and the new measurement are accurate? Btw, a tall, confident, good-looking lady is a real killer.

I am sure that they are real,coz I went to the same place to check my height (she is a nurse who is working in our school and every year they check our height and weight twice) . She told me that i may still grow more. It's creepy because I am already the tallest girl in our class (and they are all finnish btw.)

Business is still mainly a men's world So I would recommend that you become more involved with the other topics on this forum and practise discussing your thoughts and ideas with others.

Most of the people here are men, and many of them are probably old enough to be your father. It will be a very good experience for you

Succes with that. Concerning your height, you're still in secondary school, am I right? When you'll graduate and end up in a University or where ever, the 'world' you're living in will be greatly expanded, and you'll no longer be the tallest girl you know. Sometimes you might get negative responses, intimitated men and jealous girls, but you should just learn to brush those off.

At 16 I stopped growing and I was 180cm. 179 is a good height for a woman (You're almost the same height as me), very tall compared to the average woman who is around 160-168. Most female models are 175cm, so if you ever want to do modelling, you have the height to do it. Your height is the equivalent of a guy becoming 190cm.
