This patriotic page was very popular and important for many Kurds who only speak Arabic fluently. This is a blow to freedom and a big mistake by FB.
Facebook has been busy taking down many other Kurdish pages, so is it possible that Turkey alone can have this much influence on FB policy? That is hard to believe.

MONEY
Turkey wanted to block face-book completely a couple of years ago - but FB had millions of users in Turkey and did not want it blocked because they would lose money - so FB made an agreement with the Turkish government to remove Kurdish sites - sad but true![]()

HZKurdi wrote:That is a sensible idea, however suspect even a bigger conspiracy than just money. Can how can Turkey really take down FB? That is almost impossible.

If it was written in Arabic I doubt that it would be connected to the PKK

I don't know if it belonged to PYD, they were sympathetic to Ocalan and PKK and equally to KRG and all the rest.

True but I thought that the majority of the PYD were not indigenous to Syrian occupied Kurdistan

Piling wrote:Lol no, though they are controlled and supported by the PKK.

I think they are closely related but separate from each other, they consult but not control each other. PYD's top leadership are many former PKK memebers, but the PYD has grown and changed. And even Mr. Salih Muslim was not in the PKK prior to joining the PYD.Piling wrote:Mmmm… do you think that the parent is now controlled by the subsidiary ?
