This may seem a strange question, but how do Kurdish women tend to have their hair, do they tend to have it long.

It is of course a matter of taste...

But in general - yes, they tend to wear it long...

They tend to wear it down to the breast - but in old days - they would have it even longer - my grandmother had hers all the way down to her feet... And that wasn't just her - but all the ladies at that time did it - it was fashion during their younger days... And then they didn't cut it when they grew old - so my grandmother had it down to the hips till she passed away - Xuda rehmê biket... [-o<

My mom had it down to the hips - but when we moved to Turkey, that was a bit unpractical... She used to wear her Poshî like this lady:

Another question is when Kurdish male began to cut their hairs very short ? And in fact, how historically, they wear it long or short ? We know because of seljuk paintings that Turks like to have long braids. But Kurds ? Not easy to guess under their turbans...
