Pepsi you havent offeneded anybody ...dont worry...but as diri said Big Questions...

let me tell you something...over all middle east is a place where women's rights are opressed.... and thats sad .
but I can tell you Kurdistan has so much better situation than other middle eastern places...

for example in Iran, in a book , a persian writer...called kurdish women "Whores" just because Kurdish women dont use Islamic Hejab...
Kurdish women are more free they wear colorfull clothes...and they paricipate in the society in men's jobs...

in Kurdish society you can see women's particpate MUCH more than other middle eastern...for example in Northern Kurdistan [turkish occupied kurdistan] 40% of the soliders of the parties are female..

in Southern Kurdistan Government [in Iraq] you can see many Female minsters... [while in some countries like Kuwait and Sudi Arabia Women are not eeven allowed to drive a car]

so I can tell you , Kurdish women have better situation than other middle easterns...and there are many peopel who are infroming peopel and peopel are on Progress Road .

translations :
dull = dammer
pepule = batterfly
gul= flower
babuka ? I dont know...

Grow up Pepsi Open your eyes, Why you ask about culture between
Kurdish men and women Answer :

!. Do what Kurdish men say?
2. Let them have another woman. (2 is best for them).
3. Obey them.
4. You become their doormat.
5. You will have no mind of your own.
Easy that’s your answer.

Congratulations Pepsi on finding a Kurdish man you will regret this one day.
Poppy.

Actually, Poppy - excuse MY rudeness - but I can't excuse YOURS...

The one who needs to "grow up" here is obviously YOU... Just take a look at what you wrote:

That is the most disgusting generalisation... :? Please, you know just as well as I that your words are utter rubbish... Those feelings you just poured out in those words are not only false but also very harmful! You try to portray ALL Kurds and Kurdish culture as something barbaric and backwards...

Please spare me and other KURDS, who actually RESPECT YOU and OTHER EUROPEANS/WESTERNERS, for this crap...

I don't need to hear this - I can list up all the bullshit in YOUR culture and pretend that ALL English people are the same disgusting pieces of shit... BUT - YOU ARE NOT... There are GOOD English and BAD English... There are GOOD Kurds and BAD Kurds...

Try to separate the two from eachother - if not you will earn a LOT of enemies here... I am not gonna stand this crap, that's for sure... :?

You are in a KURDISH forum - show some respect! We have not done you ANY harm and in no way disrepected you and your culture... If you choose to further your case with the same tone - I will follow your lead and fight fire with fire...

I and the rest of the people, Kurds and non-Kurds, welcomed you to this site on your arrivale - now please show us that we were not wrong to welcome you amongst us... Show us that you are welcome here... :wink:

Hello Poppy

Im sorry you haven,t got many manners, and if you were attention to detail you would see that i am studying not just Kurdish culture but other muslim cultures.
I could return the rudness but ive been brought up to respect people no matter what age, or religion. but thankyou for your comment, its obvious you have been treated badly in the past, but what do you expect if you don't respect how do you expect others to respect you?
the reason why i come on the forum is because it's better sometimes then reading text books.

Hi Diri
Thankyou for your support, it just shows you how some one who has been hurt see's everyone being the same. and if everyone was the same then it would be a boring world.

Yes, you are right... Poppy was hurt by a Kurdish guy - and now she thinks all Kurds are that way - bad and evil people... That is not reality - and that will never be reality! She should have been more careful in the first place - one shouldn't believe everything a stranger tells one...

Anyway - you are right... I pity her actions anyway... She should show some more respect - and speak her mind with manners and respect...
