As the topic says, does you consider yourself Asian or European ? and what you think the Kurdish people in the majority call them self ? I don't know much about our ancestors, nor what we consider us to be.

First of all, we Kurds live/have lived in the middle east (Asia according to Westerners) But, on the other hand, we speak a language very similar to European language's, and its on the branch of indoeuropean languages.

our culture is rather central Asian too, don't you think ?

Kurdistan is the Worlds Belly Button...

The Middle East, in my book, is a whole different continent... And I named it: Belly Button of the World...

Well seriously - if the Europeans can do it... So can we...

Yeah :) We are from the Craddle of Civilization... 8)

Civilization was born in Kurdistan...

So we can call our continent for Craddle of the World - OR - Belly Button of the World

hmm, born in kurdistan but not by the kurds, but by the sumers.

Did you know theres a myth that says that the sumers were also kurds? Theres a kurdish river called either semera or semeria i dont know and im not sure how its spelled, so hence it being a kurdish river, in mesopotamia, means Kurds and Sumers were populated there together which makes them a part of mesopotamia?

Im not sure if thats how the myth goes but something like that about kurds being sumers or with sumers in mesopotamia. Do you know anything about this?

To be honest, i dont define the kurds as neither european or asian. We are one unique people, and we separate much from the other countries in the middle east. But at the same time we also arent like europeans. Europeans are conquerors if you look at their history, but the kurds, they have lived just for themselves in their history. They love nature, their peaceful they dont question anything about the world. Europeans create machines etc which ruins the environment of the world, they are scientists who are just to curious about everything. The kurds arent, they used to just live their lives, until the landstealers came.

So i dont define myself as any of them, just as a kurd.

We are one of a kind.

The Sumerians wrote about the warrior people: Kurds in northern Mesopotamia in 3000 BC... So that is 5000 years ago...

We've been there are a people for so long... And even longer probably...

Babel is in Kurdistan... It's near to Xarpût in Northern Kurdistan - on the eastern banks of the Euphrates...

Kurds are racial a mix of many different peoples - but we are mainly of Hurrian culture and of Median language...

We are simply Kurdistanî... 8) Not Asian and not European...
