Selam :)

Tomorrow I'll be heading off to Kurdistan. I will stay in Wan for a single day before spending a couple of weeks in Colemêrg. Is anybody else going to Kurdistan this summer?
I hope to pick up on the language a little bit and attend some weddings :D

Silaw xûşkê!

Good trip and enjoy yourself, sister :)

I am going to Elbak - it's in Colemêrg too, but in Turkish provinces, it's in Wan province... That's where my girlfriend lives - and we're getting engaged this summer... 8)

You're welcome to visite! :D

Xûşk = "Sister" - and "Xûşkê" (with an ê, like in "Azadê") is a nick name like "Keko" ("brother") :) It's a title of respect...

Elbak is the Kurdish name for "Başkale" - which you will pass on your way to Colemêrg... :)

Gewer is the Kurdish name for "Yuksekova" --- keep in mind that I am using the latin Kurdish script - so they are not pronounced the same in English... It would be "Gawar" in English, for example... :) But I think you know that by now?

Thank you - no she will come here when we get married... :)

Ahh yes of course I know where Elbak is then. Been there before as well, for a quick stop. I hope you will have a great time there then and that your fianceé will settle in Norway, I thought it was nearly impossible to bring a spouse to scandinavia.

Thanks for your explanations it's really useful :)

You are welcome :)

And I just hope you look well after yourself - be careful... Take precautions!

Never risk being alone anywhere - even if it's beautiful and the people are nice... There are wacko's everywhere!

Have fun! :D And take loads of pictures!
