Setsuna F. Seiei (刹那・F・セイエイ, Setsuna Efu Seiei?) is a fictional main character in the Gundam series, Gundam 00. He is the pilot of the GN-001 Gundam Exia.
Setsuna was born in the former Kurdish Republic. When war broke out between the Kurdish Republic and Kingdom of Azadistan, he was recruited by Ali Al-Saachez as a child soldier into a terrorist organization known as the KPSA. Some time later, in order to prove his devotion to God and KPSA's goals, he was forced to kill his parents[2]. As a consequence of these actions, Setsuna bears a deep hatred towards Ali. He also has since renounced the existence of God.
Gundam 00 got an Enormous fanbase, both inside and outside of Japan. Gundam characters are mostly Japanese, but this time, a Kurd got to be the main protagonist, for some reason. This ought to give you folks some attention, and get more people learn about the Kurdish issue. All the current Gundam 00 episodes (23 to date) is subtitled to English, and can be downloaded with torrent, the first season is soon finished, the next is scheduled to October 2008.
