Sex and Kurdish Dengbej...

PostAuthor: Dilsad » Sun Jul 03, 2005 2:17 pm

I always am AMAZED/shocked at how explicite kurdish dengbej are about sex.

Have any of you heard recently some older songs from Mehmed Sexo, and any others...

Cum ser dane gunde Fila
Pisti cenga dest u tila
Deste min cune ser mila
bu sheqsheqa dest u mila
........

Or does any of you remember ZembilFiros, interpreted by Sivan and Gulistan?

don't have a particular line...
it's all pretty excplicite...
She wants Zembilfiros to show her what he is saling in her house...
Mir ne male....where the Mir is not at home...
Bidim te gulen...I will give you my flowers...

I remember my dad singing along with this song...and me thinking...dad do you realize what they are saying...
This was the same dad that would switch a channel if we had a "sex" scene on a movie...

Please share your experience with older kurdish dengbej...their songs and member of your family ...

oh, don't think I am complaining about the songs...I love them

I just think it is very interesting that a culture where we still have honor killings listen to such excplicite songs
Once again, if men write/sings/ or do things that are sexual, it is ok...but when it is a woman...we need to kill her to wash out those men's honor...

What about Koma Amed...they sings a few ones in their Album "Dergush" :)

No - that is grammatically incorrect thing to say...

Then the word "Buhar" would have to end with "in": "Buharin" ("They are spring") - but if you say "Buhare" = "It is spring" - which is grammatically incorrect since he says "Keçkên" - which is plural... Whereas "Buhare" is singular... :)

So it can't be... He says: "Keçkên gundê me buhane, werin Sêva" --- Sêva can be both the name of the village - AND "apples" - in e.g: "come for the apples"... :)
