These are the Kurdish artists in Turkey:

*Ibrahim Tatlises
¤Mahsum Kirmizigul
*Ceylan
¤Zara
*Rafet El Roman
¤Ozcan Deniz
*Alis(h)an
¤Berdan Mardini
*Emrah
¤Gulben Ergen
*Seher Dilovan
¤Nuray Hafiftas(h)
*Ebru Gundes(h)
¤Hulya Avs(h)ar
*Yildiz Tilbe

Thus only Tarkan remains - and HE is definetly not an ETHNIC Turk...

You know what Ceylan said once on TV? She was being interviewed and she reacted to a statement from one of the Turkish amateur artists - who had said something like "Kurds don't know how to sing" (or the same as that) - and Ceylan got all angry and said at the interview "What crap - if it weren't for the Kurds, Turkey wouldn't have had any REAL artists!"

I love Ceylan... She realy knows how to tell it to the Turks...

And by the way - her song Yar Yemman - in Zazakî and Kurmancî is very good...

Alis(h)an has done a different version of Kecha Kurda...

Kirmizigul and Tatlises have both stated their Kurdishness...

Rafet El Roman has stated he is from "The East" - Turkish for "Kurdistan"...

Berdan Mardini is from Mardin and a simple look at his face will reveal his Kurdishness... And to add more - he sings Kurdish songs which are translated into Turkish...

Emrah is also from "The East" - and he is one of the poor Kurds who ran off to Istanbul to make a living in the 1980's...

Zara has showed her Kurdishness through her Kurdish clothes - and poshî/kofî... Not to mention her Turkish translations of Kurdish songs - and Kurdish traditional music...

Nuray Hafiftas(h), Yildiz Tilbe and Gulben Ergen were all introduced into showbuis by Ibrahim Tatlises...

Ozcan Deniz has showed his Kurdishness through Turkish versions of Canê Canê and Leyla Leyla etc...

Let me tell you - there are MANY more Kurdish singers in Turkey than in any other part of Kurdistan who have support among not only Kurds...

Yes of course:
