Salams everyone, I'm Safi, I found this forum while looking for help with Sorani. I'm English and I was married for quite some time to someone whose English was excellent so I didn't bother learning too much of his language. Sadly my marriage ended and I am now married to another Kurdish man who unfortunately doesn't speak a lot of English. I'm hoping I can learn a bit more Sorani by joining here and maybe make new friends too

This my first day in the forum since a very long time.
I can help you with Kurmanci, if you like and some Sorani,too

. Anyway,
there are many experts in Sorani dialect here and I'm sure you will get benefit from them.

Thanks for the offer of help Qamishlo, I have made a post in the language section with a couple of phrases I hear often but don't understand......and if I can help you in anyway let me know, though your English is very good

Ah Talsor, my curiosity is aroused already. I see the word Heval (pronounced haval?) I have heard this so many times and always thought it was someone's name, is it something else?
