That first song is a rip off of Ceylan's song "Zaza" - "Babasi Zaza, anasi Zaza, kendisi Zaza..."...

The reason why Assyrians don't have a music style peculiar to their own culture, is that they are in such small numbers, surrounded by Kurds on every side - so they wear Kurdish clothes (Ran û Bergûz - for the men), while often copying Kurdish folksongs or just barrowing their melodies, and basically eating the same as what Kurds eat in their respective areas...

We lived in mixed areas like this for over 2000 years... So naturally they won't have anything which can't be found among their neighbouring Kurds...

Zaza ? LOl
The suppression of ethnic cultures and minority religious groups in attempting to forge a modern nation were not unique to Turkey but occurred in very similar ways in its European neighbours - Bruinessen.
