I will post Kurdish/Turkish/Persian words here. There are also a lot of Arabic words, but this is interesting enough:

Turkish: Hayvan - animal
Kurdish : Haywan - animal [kurmanci]

Serbestiye - freedom [Zazaki]
Serbest - freedom [Turkish] Also ozgurluk.

I wonder if you also have tembel (lazy)b in Kurdish. Simbel is moustache in Kurdi. I wonder if ilkbahar and sonbahar have a Persian origin.

I can repeat some of it:

Heywan is used by Kurds, Persians and Turks - and Arabs for "Animal"...

In Kurdish there are some other names for specific groups of animals:

Lawir = Domesticated animals (horse, cow, sheep etc.)
Dabe = Wilde, meat eating animals (Lion, bear, wolf etc.)

Then you have two other types of animals:

Heywanên kivî/kiwî/kedî = Tamed animals
Heywanên wehshî = Wild animals

Serbestî is Kurdish:

Ser = head
Bestî/Bistî = Self-reliant/Independent

Being Serbest - means being on ones own - or "relying on one's own head"... That's direct translation...

We do have Tembel... And we say Simbêl for moustache...

Ilk = First = Turkic
Son = Last = Turkic

Bahar = Iranic word - also used in Kurdish as Bihar/Buhar/Behar...

Sarhoş = Serxweş/Serxoş = Kurdish:

Ser = Head
Xoş = Good/Pleasent

Being Serxoş means having a "good head"... This word has probably evolved from Kurdish culture and another way of using the word:

In Kurdish, when somebody has died - when one goes to the deceased's house to give one's condolences:

Ez çome serxoşiyê = I went to give my condolences...

Think for a little moment... What is the clichê when somebody dies? Yeah exactly - father/son/brother etc - go and drink... To "escape the pain" or whatever you wanna call it...

So being Serxoş may have come from this social construction: When somebody who lost a familymember - they become the Serxoş - and people go to wish them "Serxoşî"...

Did anybody get what I meant?

Being serxoş = Being drunk
Going to serxoşî = Offering one's condolences

But they may be connected...

Then there is the word Şarap/Şarab ("Wine") in Turkish, Arabic and Persian - which is a Kurdish word:

Şeraw:

Şer = War
Aw = Water

So it's litterally "War Water" - because Kurds would drink it to boost their moral before going to battle...

Is this just speculations or could you link to some reliable study, because this is interesting. I thought Sharab meant Drink in Arabic. You could most probably connect it to a dozen different languages when comparing old words with modern ones...which isn't right...Sharab = Shahr-Ab, because Persians used to drink it in the cities Or maybe it's Swedish: Sharap = Kär-ap, a monkey in love, because people act like monkies when they drink

The argument Diri used for etymology of 'Sharab' is callaed ''Turkish scholarship method''!!
It is usually turks who use such arguments to tukicize Parthians, Medes, Sumerians, Scythians etc.!!!

Gulbahar ?
Gul is rose in Turkish. But gul is also flower in Kurdish right? (Sorani).
Bahar = iranic word for spring.

And are Gulriz, Gulistan Turkish or Kurdish names?

Yes I was going to add Ajil (also Ajel). It means animal. Also the word ''Giyanleber'' is used for any living creature.

The Kurdish word for ''Lazy'' is ''Lewez'' (in sorani).
