i always think about why there are no common alphabet and why southern dont use the latin alphabet. i know the arabic-kurdish alphabet but its realy hard to read because i am not used to it, but the alphabet system is 99% identical, with 100% identical vowels and almost identical consonants. the latin alphabet of kurdish (bedirxani alphabet) lacks even 4 consonants that are only found in zazaki and kurmanji (these 4 consonants, are readen in 2 different ways each: t,k,p,ç) , and these consonants lacks in written kurmanji for being easier for southern dialects but southern kurds dont use latin. and arabic-kurdish script is real alphabet unlike to real arabic script wich is consonant-based. i see most southern writing latin in a different way.

i though a new latin-kurdish alphabet that could be easier for southern kurds and minority kurmanji speakers who speaks with thick vowels, with a litte inspiration of arabic-kurdish and that are maybe better for southern kurds to read, so it could be better unified alphabet:

bedirxanî - new latin
e - a (like in Kes: Kas)
ê - e (like in hewlêr/hawler or sêv (apple)
a - aa (like in nav/naw: naav/naaw)
u - u (like in kurd)
û - uu (duur -far)
î - i (ziv - silver)
i - nothing as arabic-kurdish (mn - me)
o - o (sor - red)
ş - sh
ç - ch
j - j (as J in jiyan/roj)
c - c (as C in cejn)

bedirxanî - new latin:
hewlêr - hawler
kurdistan - kurdstaan
amed - aamad
silêmanî - slemani
ez - az (I)
min - mn (me)
ew - aw
em/ême - am/ema
hûn/êwe - huun/ewa

Were better off using the latin script, since Kurdish is an indo-european language.
