NEW IRAQ FLAG

PLEASE DON'T VOTE BEFORE (THE REST OF THE MEMBERS) HAVE PUT UP THEIR FLAG!

Let's do a little competition...


POST YOUR DESIGN FOR THE NEW IRAQ FLAG - AND EXPLAIN IT'S SYMBOLIC VALUE - ON SATURDAY 12TH OF NOVEMBER!



As we know - the New Iraq - needs a NEW FLAG!

Everybody who wants to - will design a NEW IRAQ flag - all the flags will be presented on Saturday! Nobody posts their flag before Saturday, we don't want any copies, cheating etc - we want to see people's creative side!

Remember: The flag should represent a New Democratic Federal Iraq!

All symbolism etc. must be explained on Saturday when you post your flag...

Posting can start at 6PM GMT, Saturday 12th of November...

We start voting for a winner on Sunday - the voting stops at 6PM GMT, Monday 14th of November...


PLEASE: Don't post ANY posts here, YET - all who wish to compete; must send me a PRIVATE MESSAGE (so that I can put your name in the poll!) - PS- If you start posting here - I won't be able to start a POLL! So please - DON'T POST AT THIS THREAD, YET! Not before 6 PM GMT on Saturday!

It's a mix of the Assyrian and the Old Kurdish flag. Because I don't believe in Iraq, but I do believe Assyrians and Kurdish people can live in peace.
The black stands for the old religion of the Kurds, the sun also. The Assyrian symbol inside the Kurdish sun stands for the new unity between the Assyrians and Kurds.

How I think the New Iraq Flag should look/resemble:

The symbolic value:

The two blue lines - are the Tigris and the Euphrates.

One river (Tigris) is stained with > Blood...

One river (Euphrates) has green banks - the rich soil of Iraq...

The two rives form the letter "V" for VICTORY.




The colours:

Black for the "Mountains"...

White for "The land between to rivers"...

Green for the "Marshes"...




The symbols:

The Sun for the Kurds.

Ashur for the Assyrians.

Blue Moon for the Turkmen.

Black, Green, Burgois and White - in unity represent Arabs.

Just save a flag to your "My pictures" area in the "My documents" area - and then right click on it to choose "edit" - and start editing the flag as you want it to be... :wink:

Yes - it WILL BE... If you just go ahead and do as I instructed - you CAN remove the OLD flag - by cutting it out and pressing delete on your keyboard... Then you will start from scratch...

Just do it - you'll see what options you have there in the "editing room"... :shock:

cna i do it on word
or paint
or cna i jsut copy one......

(I don't think you can do it in WORD though... You might wanna follow my instructions - easiest way to go :wink: )
