oh poor saddam is defending iraq !

PostAuthor: dyaoko » Mon Dec 05, 2005 8:27 pm

I copy intresting parts .

Saddam Hussein told the judge at his trial Monday that "I am not afraid of execution"

I am not afraid of execution," said Saddam, who then addressed the judge, saying, "I realize there is pressure on you and I regret that I have to confront one of my sons. But I'm not doing it for myself. I'm doing it for Iraq. I'm not defending myself. But I am defending you."

Saddam himself became so angry that he threw some papers he was holding, and they eventually landed on the floor.

Ibrahim stood up and shouted: "Why don't you just execute us and get rid of all of this!"
[ha ha I would like to see this ibrahim and saddam to be alive and feel like this until they die]
The first witness had exchanged insults with Ibrahim, Saddam's half brother, telling him "you killed a 14-year-old boy."

"To hell," Ibrahim replied.

"You and your children go to hell," the witness replied.
[why his childern?]

At the start of Monday's session, Saddam walked into the court with a smile, carrying a copy of the Quran and greeted everyone there. Most of the defendants and several of the defense lawyers, including Clark, stood up out of respect when Saddam entered.

I'm not surprised. The most difficult for an author of genocide is not to be killed but hear and face all what he has done and to hear that he is guilty. Psychologically it is a strange fact but frequent.

So let's wish that the trial last 2 years and they will hear ALL what they did.

by the way I never got it , why the world media and the court care more about 146 shias in a village than 182000 kurds...

why there is no shame for saddam for killing kurds?

if the court continue more , soon the world wont follow the saddam news anymore...and they will never know about what happend to the kurds...

anybody knows why they give that much time to 142 shias but not to 182 000 anfal , 5000 halabja , 8000 barzani and destorying thousands of the villages?

why these 146 shias are given that much attention but not kurdish victims?

It is the first trial. It has been started for it is the easier to do, for the facts are all registered, and witnesses ready to come at the court.

After will follow all the others crimes : agaisnt Shiites, Kurds, but that needs a longer preparation. For example : the murdering of 8000 Barzanis in 1983 need the report of forensic evidences, analysis of mas graves, witnesses of survivors, of perhaps soldiers and Jash involved.

For Anfal it is a biggest affairs : to gather and collect all the facts.

So there will be several trials. Kurds hope that for the trial Anfal, Saddam and his team will be judged in Halabja, and I think it will be a great thing for Kurdistan.

aha so he WILL BE judged for kurdish vicitims too.good

but I wish it was sooner, I know the ppl of the world, right now millions of the ppl are watching his court ... but 6 months later ,just a few thousands .
ppl will be sick of a something that repeats in the news soon ,
we could make kurdistan cause , kurdish pain, known to millions of the ppl by this court.
whatever....

I had heared in a kurdish tv , that he wont be trailed for his big crimes, because they are too big and dont need a proof [like halabcha] but it was a long time ago that I had heared it .

You're right, so it is our job to lobby and make campaign for giving information about this trial, all the time.

After this first trial I guess that more serious things will start.
