Look at the word structure of ‘Kurdistan’ is not a sematic word it is in the same sound of the Indo-asian vocabulary (eg. Kasakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan…etc)
To claim that Kurds are native of Mesopotamia you need to show some prove?
Mesopotamia was ruled by Assyrian Empire (with power-states like Nineveh Babylon, Nimrod, Arbil…) later the Assyrians converted to Christianity and many of their ancient temple became churches like (Nabu Y’nis in Mosul) which was sadly later converted into a mosque. But other tribes lived in iraq too like the Arameans, Sabeans and probably yezids, but no kurds only until the ottoman empire that kurds appeared in north Iraq region.

according to who we came to kurdsitan 200 years ? yo grand pa or ma ? LOL

Under the Median Empire Cyaxares settled a number of Sagarthian tribes of Zagros in Arbela and Kirkuk, probably as a reward for their help in the capture of Nineveh
which took place 612 BC

Historic facts stated that Kurds of iraqi region came from Azerbijan, most definitely came from Indo-Asia some 200 years ago and are not native to Mesopotamia, Sallah Aldain A Kurd, if you read his biography it is stated that he coming from Azerbaijan and not a native of Mesopotamia too.

Historic facts also stated that the Ancient Assyrians (your aren't their descendants) deported Medes (our forefathers), specially during the rule of the Assyrian King Ashurbanipal...

I don't want to waste my time with this wannabe historian, I just want to comment, about the existence of Kurds in Mesopotamia according to historical evidences. One of our enemies, a Seljukian Sultan (Sanjar) wasn't just using the word Kurd, he also used the term Kurdistan, and this was about 1000 years ago...

Assyrians had their power, and they suppressed our forefathers (Medes), till the Medes destroy the Assyrian Empire...

And by the way, you mentioned that probably Yezids also lived there...so what are Yezids ?? Aren't they Kurds ?
Cities like Dohuk, Shingal, etc. were inhabited by Yezids more than 200 years ago, just read the early Ottoman history (16.century)...

I am kurdish and I understand the suffering felt for a minority. We fight so hard for our country and we want freedom and liberties to practice our culture and religions and we want acceptance of ourselfs. How is it that we can deny our minorities this same right? I am better than a turk, an arab and syrian people and iranian people. So what makes our enemy different than us if we deny the existance and cutural rights of our minorities?
I don't associate with other kurds who don't feel the same way. I'll let their be change. Any Kurd who does not support the human rights and respect the cultures of people living in Kurdistan humiliates the great country of Kurdistan because they are just another saddam. I choose to support Assyrian and Assyrian cultures. Not just that, but because we now have control over our country it is our responsibility to support our Minorities and make an effort to help them keep their cultures and help them feel good about where they are. We should make assyrian schools for them and we should allocate special land for them so they can keep thier cultures. I am kurdish and this is what I want for the minorities in Kurdistan. I don't' care about race. If you are kurdish you should realize the country of Kurdistan is strong and support human rights. I pride myself always for being the only peaceful nation of the middle east. The kurdish people are not barbaric and are not like the arabs or turks or iranians. If we act like our enemies what makes us different? I REFUSE!!!!! I will never come to this evil. As I am KURDISH I will never stop to fight for KURDISTAN and I will never ever weaken the great country and I will NEVER EVER disgrace the minorities in our country. If you are assyrian and others minorities please be patient and please forgive kurds. I will soon make a website to promote peace in our regions. Eventaully (once I graduate from school) I'll come back to Kurdistan and I will change everything. I cannot stand to see that our own people will refuse human rights when we ourselves know the indiginity of being a minority with barbaric peoples. IT IS ENOUGH!! don't even call yourself Kurdish if you are going to refuse human rights. Call yourself Saddam or Attturk. :PP Crimes against Assyrians are crimes against humanity. They are crimes against the country of Kurdistan.

veanandjean if a person came into your house in your village were your forefathers lived and told you "this is my land get the fu.. ou of here so i can create my own village" you would say ok? are you nuts. When did we kurds claim land of Turks, Iranians and Arabs were we not live? Why are they asking us while only 10% of "their" former land is located in Kurdistan. Why dont they ask the Arabs who have a much huger part for land? so let the Kurds fight loose their live while they sit on their asses and than bitch around about people and land which doesnt belongs them.

And never make such stupid comments again while you have no idea about the subject. People like you are the reason why they fool with us. Under Saddam 50% of the Assyrians now living in Kurdistan came from Bagdad. We gave them homes, let them have their own parties, flag, language with Tv stations, let them administrate themselves. All this without pressure from outside. And you dare to compare us to Turkey which banned our language our name over a century while we make majorities in Eastern Regions, Iran who still doesnt let Kurds have their Kurdish names or political parties or Syria who till today does not count Kurds as part of Syria as if they are foreigners.

And you compare them to us just because we dont think about giving them land where they dont exist? Even while they permanently attack and accuse us about things while Arabs are raping their people in Baghdad.

If there are Regions whee they make the majority they can have it

Maybe it get lost in my anger so I will repeat it. If there are regions in Kurdistan which are in majority or at least 50-60% (a large majority is not for need) Assyrian populated, I am totally against annexing it by force into Kurdistan. I am for the Idea to help them to build their own smaller Country on it and support them for getting also the rest of their lands from Sunni ruled Iraq. But I am totally against the Idea forcing people out of their village just because maybe 3000 years ago this region was once called Assyrian Empire. LOL some people have hard time to get their homes which they lost 30 years ago to Saddam while some people claim lands by talking about far far far History. Are you guys even aware how ridiculous this is.

yeah okay I understand that. I know that kurdish people are very liberal. I know that we even take arab refugees into kurdistan. I know its incomparable with what saddam is doing and what turks do. I also know that Kurdistan is diverse and that people live peacefully side by side as neighbors with many different religions and cultures. I got carried away.
I'm not really for people seperating and making their own mini-country where other people have to be displaced. It would just be nice to help them make their own schools or even a small state. Its not about displacement, nobody has to move away or leave or seperate. Its about preservation of cultures and giving them some control as to how they want to live. People don't understand what I say sometimes. I grew up in the US and I see so many people living together. they preserve their cultures their relgions and everything. They can do this because they seperate into states, county, city. Every city in the US has its own governer. Do we have that in Kurdistan? no. There are 19,355 cities in america and each of them have their own goverment. I don't mean to say that people should seperate and say get the f off my land, that's not feasible. I just think minorities and different peoples should be able to self govern themselves. Not just based on race, but also cultures.
