French Kurds are like in England, I think : most of Northern Kurds speak Turkish at home. Others speak Kurdish and French, but most of their their children understand their mother language without learning it at school (though there are no Kurdish courses). I think it is the main problem : we should have Kurdish courses as a 2nd or a 3rd foreign language at what we call 'collège-lycée' : 11- 18 until Baccalaureat.
Scandinavian countries are better for that.
