The lovely warm spring sunshine has gone - it has been replaced by dark clouds and bitterly cold north winds

I expect that many of those reading this are also trying to keep up with events in the Ukraine - I hope that you are reading my posting and do NOT take very much notice of the main-stream media

I suspect Western involvement - the Ukraine had just signed a trade deal with Russia - someone in the West had wanted the Ukraine to trade with the EU but fortunately the government had more sense - I write fortunately advisory as many whose countries have joined the EU now wish that their countries were not involved - a great many informed people in UK (including myself) wish we were out of the EU

Almost certainly Western infiltrators stirred up the population - which we all know lead to a great deal of violence and killings - Russia stepped in to prevent further violence - I am extremely glad that someone had the good sense to go in before the violence spiralled out of hand as it has done in several other countries in recent years

The European Commission has offered Ukraine trade incentives worth nearly 500m euros ($694m; £417m) - America and the European Commission think that they can buy everyone - well now they see that there are some countries which cannot be bought - and because they could not buy the Ukraine the US are almost certainly behind most of the disruption there

Even a referendum is being ignored by the West

Why are they not even bothering to take action in Syria

I have been reading up on the Ukraine conflict:

The Russian Black Sea Fleet has been based in Sevastopol in Crimea continuously since 1783 some 231 years - personally I believe that gives them some rights

Another thought - how can Russia be accused of sizing an area that they have been in for all those years

There is a book for children, 'Maroussia' written by a Ukrainian writer in 19 th telling the story of a young Ukrainian girl during a revolt. It has been a best-seller in French translation, I don't know if it is known in English :

Stalin was certifiably insane - he had an inferiority complex and was extremely paranoid

erDOGan is similar to Stalin in a great many ways - his quest for ever more power and his treatment of potential rivals who erDOGan accuses of aligning with - or being supported by - capitalist nations or other politically conflicting groups - Stalin and erDOGan have both convicted those who they deemed to be against them as being "enemies of the people" - whereas Stalin had them executed erDOGan has them imprisoned

Yesterday was winter today was summer

There is still a great deal of surface water on the fields - and where it appears to be drying all one has to do is stand on the grass to realise that the fields still have the consistency of soggy semolina

The ditches are all full of water and the ponds and lakes are still at the highest they have ever been - many farms have lost a season's planting and some farmers think they might lose the entire year's crop

A man was crossing a road one day when a frog called out to him and said, "If you kiss me, I'll turn into a beautiful princess." He bent over, picked up the frog, and put it in his pocket.

The frog spoke up again and said, "If you kiss me and turn me back into a beautiful princess, I will tell everyone how smart and brave you are and how you are my hero" The man took the frog out of his pocket, smiled at it, and returned it to his pocket.

The frog spoke up again and said, "If you kiss me and turn me back into a beautiful princess, I will be your loving companion for an entire week." The man took the frog out of his pocket, smiled at it, and returned it to his pocket.

The frog then cried out, "If you kiss me and turn me back into a princess, I'll stay with you for a year and do ANYTHING you want." Again the man took the frog out, smiled at it, and put it back into his pocket.

Finally, the frog asked, "What is the matter? I've told you I'm a beautiful princess, that I'll stay with you for a year and do anything you want. Why won't you kiss me?"

The man said, "Look, I'm a computer programmer. I don't have time for a girlfriend, but a talking frog is cool."

Skin and bones ? lol no, far from that. I have around 6 kg to lose and I reach my score at mah jong

My ideal goal is to reach 61 kg, because it is my favorite I Ching hexagram…
