These heartbreaking pictures of the tiny body of a migrant boy who died alongside his brother and mother on the perilous journey across the Mediterranean today shocked the world.

Little Galip, five, and Aylan Kurdi, three, were on an overcrowded dinghy filled with refugees fleeing the war in Syria when it capsized shortly into the crossing to the Greek island of Kos.

Pictures of Aylan’s limp body in the sand and of it being carried by a local gendarme has come to epitomise the crisis engulfing Europe as a tide of humanity flees the horrors in the Middle East.

Another mother was pictured grief-stricken after losing two of her children, aged nine and 11.

The civlized World is upset by watching a baby's corpse on the beach.

4 years of Syria = 215 000 victims, and among them. 66 109 civilians and among them, how many children ? 10 808.

(source OSDH).

So weeping today for ONE dead baby while 10 808 have been killed (and many in a more horrible way) ? Imagine 10 808 pictures like that.

If Coalition do not intervene in Syria, then let the refugees enter in safe countries.

The family was from Kobanî, by the way.

I had noticed the family were from Kobani =((

One of my friends from Kobani went with her husband and children and left the Turkish border intending to escape to Europe - all the horror stories frightened the family so much that she returned to the safety of the refugee camp

All the coalition members who readily bombed Kobani to oblivion - after first sitting on the backsides and doing nothing while ISIS headed towards and eventually entered Kobani - should pay to rebuild the town

Piling when you write of 215 000 victims do you realise that those are direct victims of the fighting

They are NOT the total number who have died due to the fighting

Think possibly MILLIONS

ALL the people who were unable to receive medication for curable diseases

ALL the people who have died due to lack of operations or help in childbirth

ALL the people who have died from hunger thirst and freezing temperatures

NONE of the above are included are included in official figures

BECAUSE they did not die as a direct result of bombs or shooting they are classed as collateral damage and remain uncounted X(
