No "Rojava" says PKK

PostAuthor: Piling » Thu Dec 29, 2016 7:23 am

The Kurdish name for northern Syria, "Rojava", was dropped from the name of the proposed system of government, said Nasreddin Ibrahim, another Kurdish politician at the meeting. He said that had led 12 Kurdish parties to express reservations, but would not obstruct ratification of the document.

Seems to be a decision (collective ?) expressed by Riza Altun.

Riza Altun, PKK Foreign Relations Head in April 2016 :

We did not use the term “state” in Rojava, because its use denotes it being imbued with a nationalist identity, with a particular ethnicity representing the majority, while other ethnicities are excluded.

Rojavayê Kurdistanê‎ = Western Kurdistan

Anyone who seeks to remove that name from the Kurdish area of Northern Syria is a

TRAITOR

To ALL the THOUSANDS of Kurds who have died fighting for an

INDEPENDENT KURDISTAN

Sadly many so-called Kurdish leaders are more interested in their own self-aggrandizement than supporting the hopes and aspirations of the Kurdish population X(

Long before most people even knew or cared that there were any Kurds in Syria - a time when I often referred to them as the forgotten Kurds - I have had Kurdish friends from Western Kurdistan who have dedicated their lives to Western Kurdistan both politically and physically and to an INDEPENDENT KURDISTAN

I firmly believe that this has a great deal to do with pressure from the PKK, whose imprisoned leader is being manipulated by the Turkish government in order to further suppress the Kurdish population and encourage brotherhood between the innocent Kurds and the murdering barbaric Turks X(

Murat Karayilan says that PKK will withdraw its forces from Shingal. I don't know who (USA ?) pressed them to do that, but at last, Shingal won't be called "Northern Iraq Democratic Federation"

Altun: We do not view the Kurdish cause as one predicated on specific nationalist or ethnic aspirations

I do NOT like AltunImage

There is nothing wrong with Kurds being PATRIOTIC :ymapplause:

They decided to withdraw for the sake of Kurd Unity. Every one expected them to withdraw to avoid put KRG in difficult position.

I never heard PKK in Shingal care about Kurdish unity before, while they wanted to include Shingal area in Iraq. More probably it has something to do with the new alliance Putin-Erdogan and the fact that PYD-PKK are now helpless. So they are searching KRG support.

I trust Murat Karayilan much more than I trust other PKK leaders

It MUST be up to the YAZIDIS themselves whose forces they want to protect them

From what I see nobody actually gives a toss what happens to the Yazidis

NOBODY has made any attempt to rescue the Yazidis from the rape and torture of ISIS captivity X(

NOBODY has secured the Yazidi lands in it's entirety X(

NOBODY has even found all the graves of the slaughtered Yazidis

NOBODY cares about all the Yazidis who spend their lives crying because of the horrors they have been through and the fact they do NOT know if their family members and friends are alive of dead :((

NOBODY has made any serious attempt to rebuild Yazidi villages - all they do is leave Yazidis to live in shame and poverty in freezing cold tents :((
