Lool no my name isnt Rumtay Rumtaya means man from Rumta. Rumta was a part of the Tyari Province in Hakkari
I remember my grand father told the story of the genocide of tyries. And he also told us that u couldn't tell different between tyaries and kurds cuz they spoke fluent kurdish.

and im a kurd too , 100 %. Both my mom and my Dade are kurds are belong the the tribe of Sindi. Sindis live mostly in south kurdistan around Zaxo and there are also some in hakari province in northern kurdistan.

I am kurdish from dohuk who dont interact with kurds too often cuz I live far from kurdistan and TN. But having you as eKurdish friends is good enough....

1-thanks chicholak for asking rumtaya's pronunciation .now I can read the name. it is something like Rome Ta Ya? [a man from rome?]
2-romtaya is right, assyrian are among the first who made a miltary , but is it a proud ?
isnt that a reason to say they were bad?
every military says their are armed just to defend the country, what the assyirans wanted to defend ? [while no other nation had military and ppl were in tribes not in countries...]..
infact that assyrian military killed many of the Medes, and Dyaoko the father of the Medya Empire , had to make a Kurdish military and we defetead oppressor assyrians and we made Medya Empire !!! Yehooooooo
but we never used our miliatry to attack to others, we just defended ourself against asssyirans and bobylans.
