hey does anyone know where i can get an english copy (if there is one!) as my kurmanci is not that great

do you mean you have the kurmanji version ?
I would like to read that book even if in kurmanji .

Hejar has translated it in Kurdish Mukriyani. In 1990 there is a translation (soranî I think) published in Baghdad under the direction of Amin Oman. I believe that the Ministry of Culture in hewlêr has published an edition in 1997.
M. A Bozarslan has translated it in Turkish, and Jan Dost in Arab, but there is no English translation.

a kurmanji one is of little use if i dont understand it
but oh well i could try to i guess...my kurmanji is slowly getting better
so is there anyway i could get any copy of it in the uk?

after Kumpan (movie made in thailand) Mem U Zin was the most boring movie I ever saw in my life.
After 1.2 hour there was still like 1 hour to go, so i stoped the movie.
You better send the money to me and i write a summary for you about the movie. Or if you can send more money i can remake it with some friends. It will much better.

I have never seen the movie, but I've already heard that it's bad.
But we talked about Xanî's novel (or Memê Alan folk legend), literature, then. And Mem û Zîn is a wonderful story, written by a genius !

How could u even say that...mem u zin is the BEST movie ever...my all time favorite ( the old version of course)
